Dr. Carlos Lever joins GAMES Econ as an affiliated expert

We are delighted that Dr. Carlos Lever is joining GAMES Economics as an affiliated expert. Dr. Lever, a distinguished microeconomist, has a renowned  government and academic career and joins our team as an affiliated expert to strengthen our regulation and competition experts.

 

Based in Paris, Carlos Lever brings over a decade of experience across various fields, including the energy sector, market design, and network economics. Dr. Lever served as Head of the Contract Analysis Unit at the Mexican Oil Fund for Stabilization and Development at the central Bank of Mexico. He previously worked as a researcher and Contract Flow Analysis Manager at the same Fund.

 

In academia, Carlos Lever held the position of Regional Dean for Social Sciences at Mexico’s largest private educational institution, Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM). He has also served as a lecturer at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). His other academic contributions include as a reviewer for renowned publications such as the American Economic Review, Latin-American Journal of Economics, El Trimestre Económico, and American Economic Journal: Applied Economics.

 

Carlos Lever graduated with honors in Economics from ITAM for both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees, and holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University.

 

His addition to our team at GAMES Econ enlarges our presence in Europe and Latin America and strengthens our unique proposition to serve companies, law firms, governments, and society in applying state-of-the-art economic and data analysis, rooted in theory and technical expertise to better understand and solve complex problems, while explaining this analysis in a clear way.
