Dr Ricardo Gonçalves is an Associate Professor at Católica Porto Business School in Portugal and a researcher at the Research Center in Management and Economics (CEGE).
His main areas of expertise are microeconomics, auction theory and competition policy and regulation. Ricardo has done a wide variety of consultancy work for private and public entities, both in Portugal and internationally, in telecommunications, financial services and health and pharma, among others.
Ricardo received the best scientific paper award in drug policy from the European Union Drugs Agency in 2015 and the PLUG award by the Portuguese Electronic Communications Operators Association in 2008 and 2010.
He has published articles in top academic journals, such as the Journal of Industrial Economics, the Scandinavian Journal of Economics, the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, the Journal of Economics & Management Strategy and Energy Economics.
