Essay by Dr Elisa V. Mariscal appears at “Women in Antitrust: Antitrust across the borders” book

Mexico City– Dr Elisa V. Mariscal collaborated, along with 20 other expert women on antitrust around the world, in the book “Women in Antitrust: Antitrust across the borders” (Editora Singular, 2023).

Dr Elisa V. Mariscal co-authored the essay “Walmart/Cornershop, Uber/Cornershop: a case study on learning about regulatory biases, blind spots and the need for transparency in the merger analysis” with Dr Alexander Elbittar. The essay compares the elements of analysis between the authorized mergers Walmart/Cornershop in Mexico and Uber/Cornershop in Chile and explores blind spots and biases that the agencies could be ignoring.

The book can be read at Amazon Kindle for free and here at Everand, Scribd and SlideShare with subscription. This is the first international book organized by Women in Antitrust, a network based in Brazil whose “mission is to bring women together in the field of antitrust”.
